We were evaluating the use of Testbuilder for our company. We found
it great for it could do the following thing:

1. C++ testbenches could be written, which have the capability to span
over the simulation time.

2. Instead of writing testbench in verilog we could use TVM written in C++.

3. The concept of TVM also looked good to us.

However the problem which we landed in was that Testbuilder requires
Solaris OS, while we work on Windows or Linux. Is there a way out of
this? Or is there a verification tool like Testbuilder which runs on
Linux or Windows. Is SystemC the answer?

I believe all of the source code for Testbuilder is in the package you
download from the Web site so you ought to be able to re-compile
pretty much immediately on Linux, though I don't know if the code will
work on Windows without modifications to the thread / fiber system and
a few other operating system specifics.

I have used testBuilder on linux for over an year now. I don't think
the OS limitation that you mention exists.
